Measuring Tips for Necklaces

To measure for the perfect necklace length for you simply take a piece of string and drape it around your neck. While looking in a mirror adjust the string to the length you desire. It may also help to put on the piece of clothing or a similar style you will be wearing with the necklace. After you find the perfect length, cut the string to size and measure the string. You can compare your size to common necklace lengths. You may require a custom or special order if your size is not available in the piece you are interested in.

Measuring Tips for Bracelets

To measure for a bracelet, wrap a flexible tape measure or a piece of string around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Pull the tape or string tight enough so that it is comfortable around your wrist but not cutting into your skin. Write down the measurement or cut the string and measure it. Add 1/2 inch to your measured size. Example: Wrist measurement is 6 1/2" + 1/2" = 7" Compare your bracelet size to the piece you are interested in.

The most common size bracelet is 7 1/4". You may require a custom or special order if your size is not available in the piece you are interested in.

To measure for a anklet wrap a flexible tape measure or a piece of string around your ankle where you would like the anklet to fit. just below the wrist bone. Pull the tape or string tight enough so that it is comfortable around your ankle but not cutting into your skin. Write down the measurement or cut the string and measure it. Add 1/2 inch to your measured size. Example: Ankle measurement is 9 1/2" + 1/2" = 10 " Compare your anklet size to the piece you are interested in.
